Blue Mage Healer Guide & Build
Healer is a strong and viable role. With DPS dealing as much damage as it does, you will often find yourself as the solo healer for the group, which means healing takes clear priority over damage.
Main Healer
The main healer drops
Triple Trident,
Whistle, and
Bristle from the DPS loadout. Whistle and Triple Trident are hard
to get casts off on as a healer, and Bristle only realistically buffs
Song Of Torment, which is a small enough gain that it is not
worth the slot. This leaves three open spots that can be filled by any of those
spells if you find you have the breathing room.

Your core loop is
Pom Cure-ing the tank, throwing out
Gobskin before incoming raid-wides, and using
White Wind as your primary heal when the party needs topping up.
Angel's Snack is extremely strong and should be used for big heal
checks.
Stotram is effective but it is the first spell to consider
dropping if you need a slot, since
Pom Cure into
White Wind will almost always heal for more. Because you are not
spending mana on DPS Primals the way a DPS would, you have plenty of mana to
lean on
White Wind freely.
For damage, Moon Flute windows are more accessible than you might expect.
Tanks can sustain themselves with
White Wind for a surprisingly
long time, so look for opportunities to squeeze in a
Moon Flute window whenever the party is safe. You will mostly be
freestyling these rather than executing a tight optimized opener.
Make sure
Off-guard is up during every Moon Flute window to
boost the whole party’s damage.
Off-Healer
The off-healer plays essentially as a DPS that also brings
Angel's Snack. Angel’s Snack is the primary reason to run an
off-healer at all, since it is one of the strongest healing cooldowns available.
Compared to the main healer loadout, the off-healer picks up
Tingle,
Whistle, and
Triple Trident,
and also adds
Cold Fog, which off-healers have more opportunity to
use since they are mostly playing DPS.
Gobskin and
Stotram are dropped: the main healer handles Gobskin, and the
slot is better used elsewhere.

Follow the same rotation as the DPS role. Execute Moon Flute openers with your
OGCDs whenever possible, cover big heal checks with
Angel's Snack,
and keep
Off-guard up for openers. Primary healing duty falls to
the main healer; if they want to Moon Flute, cover
Pom Cure duty for them and alternate as the situation allows.
